President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially listed the Nigerian presidential jet, a Boeing 737-700 BBJ, for sale in Switzerland.

The aircraft, which was originally acquired in 2005 under the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, is currently undergoing inspections at AMAC Aerospace in Basel. The listing appears on Controller, a global aircraft sales platform.

The jet had served as Nigeria’s primary presidential aircraft across several administrations. However, it was recently decommissioned following a reported malfunction during President Tinubu’s official trip to Saudi Arabia.

In response, President Tinubu approved the acquisition of a new Airbus A330 to replace the aging Boeing, marking a new chapter in the Presidential Air Fleet’s modernization.
